Terms of Service

By creating an account or sending a message you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

You need to be old enough to enter into this agreement where you live. If you are under 18, use ConfiNotes only with a parent or guardian's permission.

Sign up with an email address you control and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has access to it.

Anonymity is for honesty, not for cover. Do not use ConfiNotes to send:

• Threats, harassment, stalking or anything intended to frighten or intimidate.
• Hate speech, or abuse aimed at someone because of who they are.
• Sexual content involving minors, or any other illegal content.
• Someone else’s private information, shared without their consent.
• Spam, scams, malware or attempts to impersonate another person.

You are responsible for what you write, even though the recipient will not see your name.

The recipient will never know it was you. That is the promise, and the product is built to keep it.

Messages belong to the people who write and receive them. We may remove content, suspend an account or refuse service where these terms are broken or where someone is being put at risk. Recipients can report and block.

The core of ConfiNotes — your profile page, your link and your inbox — is free, with no hidden charges. Premium adds extras such as a custom username, premium themes and the ability to hide profile fields. It is a single payment of ₦5,000, not a subscription: there is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel. Premium is what keeps the free tier running.

Spaces is a paid add-on. It lets an account own one or more Spaces — a team, a department, a branch, a unit — that collect anonymous reviews about the people in them. Buying it changes nothing about the owner's own profile, link or inbox.

A Space has two kinds of people in it, and they are not the same thing:

• Reviewees are the people a Space collects feedback about. They have no account here, never sign in, and are not contacted by us. Each one uses a seat.
• Team members are accounts with a role on the Space — owner, admin or reader — who sign in to run it and read results. They are not counted or charged for.

Seats are bought in bands, from 10 reviewees to 50, at a flat ₦1,000 a seat. Like Premium it is a one-time payment, not a subscription. Moving to a larger band costs the difference between the two. Seats are total: hiding or retiring someone keeps their reviews and keeps their seat, so a seat is never freed, and a band cannot be made smaller.

If you run a Space, the people you list are your responsibility. They have no agreement with us and may not know the Space exists. Telling them, and having whatever lawful basis your jurisdiction requires for collecting feedback about them, is yours to handle — not ours. A Space's public pages show the name and photo of everyone currently listed in it.

Reviews are anonymous to everyone on the Space's team: no name, and the team is never shown when a review arrived. Results open only once a collection period is closed, never while it is still running. There is no minimum number of reviews before results are shown. Exports are available to owners and admins.

An owner can close a Space, which stops it collecting and takes its public pages down. Closing does not delete the reviews it has already collected; write to [email protected] if you need them removed.

We work to keep ConfiNotes up, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable. We may add, change or remove features, and we will give notice of significant changes where we reasonably can.

You can delete your account from Settings at any time, which removes your profile, your link and the messages you have received. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

ConfiNotes is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, or for what other people choose to write.
